Terms & Conditions: Equipment Hire

These Terms & Conditions govern the hire of equipment from Aloua Electrical Services (“the Owner”). By booking our equipment, the Hirer (“you”) agrees to the following terms:
1. Hire Period and Booking
The hire period begins at the time of delivery/setup and ends at the agreed-upon collection time.
Extensions to the hire period must be requested at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
2. Payment Terms
All hire fees must be settled according to the agreed payment schedule (e.g., deposit upon booking, balance upon delivery).
We currently accept [Cash / Bank Transfer].
3. Equipment Use and Care
Mortuary Refrigerator: Must be kept plugged into a standard, stable power source. The glass top should be handled with care. The integrated music system should be used at reasonable volume levels.
Generators: Must only be operated in well-ventilated outdoor areas to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the equipment is used in a safe and respectful manner.
4. Delivery and Setup
Aloua Electrical Services will provide professional setup by a licensed electrician (NZ/Tongan licensed).
The Hirer must ensure a clear, accessible path for delivery and a stable, level surface for the equipment.
5. Loss or Damage
The Hirer is responsible for the equipment during the hire period.
Any damage beyond normal wear and tear, or loss of equipment components, will be charged to the Hirer at the current replacement or repair cost.
Aloua Electrical Services is not responsible for any contents kept within the refrigerator in the event of a power failure beyond our control (e.g., mains grid failure where a generator was not hired).
6. Liability
Aloua Electrical Services shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property arising from the use of the equipment, provided the equipment was supplied in good working order.
As licensed professionals, we ensure all equipment is electrically tested and tagged for safety.
7. Cancellations
We understand that circumstances can change quickly. Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a booking.
Cancellation fees may apply if the equipment has already been dispatched for delivery.
8. Collection
At the end of the hire period, our team will arrive to professionally disconnect and remove the equipment.
Please ensure the equipment is empty and accessible at the agreed collection time.
